We live on the short end of Grant Street, Potsdam, unfortunately part of the cut-off route between Route 11B (Elm St.) and Route 11 (Lawrence Ave.) Certain kiddies in their kiddie cars or kiddie pick-ups regard it as a raceway and zoom through at speeds way higher than the village 30 mph. If I were “King of the Forest” I would put a speed bump or two on the street. Bounce a few heads off vehicle roofs and the message might, I say might get through. Another of my royal decrees would be to make parking one side only on Grant and Missouri, especially the latter. When someone gives a party on Missouri or when there's a big funeral at Garner's, it becomes a one-lane street.
