Hopkinton residents need to speak up now, or learn to live with (or move away from) 500' industrial wind turbines. Remind Hopkinton elected officials that it is their responsibility under the NYS Constitution to protect the health, safety, and well-being of their citizens. There appears to be a lack of transparency in Hopkinton. Wind Advisory Board Meetings are not being posted. As of Jan. 27 the town's website still states that the next meeting is Nov. 28; however, before adjourning, the next meeting was set for Jan. 9. A town official was in attendance and made note of the next meeting date. In addition, a member of the Wind Advisory Board confirmed that the town had been notified of the next meeting date. Why the secrecy? Actions speak louder than words. It is time for Hopkinton residents to take action and speak up before it is too late. Protect our future!
