My family and I attend quite a few festivals and fairs throughout the summer. Often, while standing in line for food, games, rides, etc. people feel it is okay to smoke cigarettes and blow the smoke in my children’s faces. When I ask them to put it out because my kids don’t like it, I am given attitude like I did something wrong. Why can’t there be a designated smoking area at these events like there is at amusement parks? This would cut down on the second-hand smoke in all our faces and the littering of cigarette butts. Why is it okay for people who to choose to smoke to endanger the health of those that choose not to while we are out supporting our communities in public trying to enjoy some family time. Please make our festivals and fairs smoke free!
