I am a smoker and I have been for many years. I live in an apartment that the Canton Housing Authority manages. I pay rent here and I work everyday. I was told when I came here to live that I could smoke. Now, because a few people disagree with it, they are going to ban smoking in our apartments that we pay to live in. I am sorry, but I don't believe people are getting a lot of smoke in their apartments from my apartment. If they are they never complained about it in all the years I have lived here! Smokers deserve to be able to smoke in their own homes. By the way, not one person on the Housing Authority board is a smoker! Hmmm…I wonder if that has anything to do with their decision? Leave us alone and give us the right to make our own decisions. This has caused a lot of hard feelings and I am sure it will cause a lot more!
