How can the St. Lawrence Central board believe that the taxpayers will pass a budget that includes a tax levy increase of 16.12%? Other schools in the area are proposing much smaller increases, and still have concerns about approval. Many taxpayers in the area are unemployed, or retired. Gasoline and fuel expenses are up for individuals too. Like families, the school is going to have to cut out non-essentials. Voters: please find the gas money to get out and vote this May.
