The other night I was driving my car home from work. Two motorcycles were approaching me from the opposite lane, riding parallel to each other, side by side. The rider nearest to me was probably at least a good one to two feet over the double-dotted line in my lane, and I darn near clipped him. I should also note that I drive a Geo, which does not take up an entire lane width by any means. I am not a bike rider, but I do completely respect those who do and their rights to the road. I realize that it is a lifestyle which also by and large does many great community services through their organized charity rides, etc. I’m also not one of these people who gets annoyed at the loud noises that sometimes come from these bikes. Maybe I’m mistaken, but isn’t it illegal for two motorcycles to ride side-by-side like that? If not, isn’t this a good enough reason why they probably shouldn’t?
