I agree with “Protecting Perpetrators” which appeared in the July 28-Aug. 3 issue of North Country This Week. They should be held accountable for their actions and not just with a slap on the wrist. Cruelty to animals is a serious crime and should not be overlooked because of who the families of these kids are. Seeking psychological help would be the best beginning. And yes, I would like to know if the same students vandalized St. Lawrence Central, also. I did read an article in the Watertown paper that listed the inhumane things that were done to the animals...sick behavior. Not even close to a prank for me. Turns my stomach to know these kids have been shielded so they can go on as though nothing important has happened and it's just a big joke. This should haunt you for the rest of your lives.
