Sorry it has taken so long but I was on vacation. I went to the village meeting in Potsdam and was shocked to find that our town supervisor stated that she was ready to take the full burden of paying for the recreation programs for Potsdam. The arena and beaches are apparently going to belong to the town without a say or vote. Without any regret the villagers pleaded with the board to give the town as much time as needed to lower their taxes (they can argue, but we know the bottom line is to save their money) because they could care less about other families who chose not to pay high taxes and live in the town. Are we a community who understands? Village. I would love, love, love to live in it. Bike to work or to the bank or store. But I will not pay for it so I live in the town. Why do you feel that you should have your cake and eat it too?
