My neighbor told me today about his venture between Hannawa Falls and Potsdam last Wednesday. He was riding his bicycle, which is his only source of transportation. A car passed him and turned around to pull up to him. It was two young women who asked him “can you use $100?” He thought it was a joke at first, but they were not joking. They gave him the $100, no strings attached. He asked for their phone numbers, but then came the string. “Only if you come to church with us Sunday.” He said “no, thanks,” but he did say a prayer for them in gratitude. The first thing he did was buy the best pair of winter boots he could find. Nothing like this has ever happened to me in my life, he said. For me, it made my day to hear how this man was blessed by a pair secret Santa’s.
