Some of our local schools are considering hiring a police officer to help ensure safety. That may end up being the answer. But a question that I have is: Are principals at school greeting the students each morning as they are entering? This would be a great way for the principal and students to interact on a daily basis and for the principal to have a better handle on a student that might pose a threat. I feel this should be a common sense procedure that is already happening.
