My school taxes are too high! Is there anyone else out there who feels that we should be looking at consolidation? How much longer can the North Country people afford schools with 20 or 50 students per class? I think school administrators are doing the best they can, and I don't believe that teachers are overpaid, but I do think we have way too many of them. How much longer can we afford yearly tax increases when so many are on fixed incomes or haven't seen a raise themselves? And aren't the students being shortchanged by the lack of variety in their curriculum? I know it's tough to give up individual school identities but please let us consider school consolidation.
