In response to the Letter to Editor “Ounce of Prevention Worth a Pound of Cure”, Once again the author has written an opinion letter that is nothing but scare tactics on the use of birth control and abortion. The writer bases their misinformation on a book written by a doctor who used faulty information from poorly done studies and then blows it all out of proportion. Unfortunately, many women who read this “opinion” letter take it to be a truth while it is far from it. I hope the women of the region seek the advice of their healthcare provider on these issues and do not believe this opinion of someone who seems believe everything he reads regardless of who wrote it and what other professionals have remarked about it. The writer of the letter is not a healthcare provider.
