School boards, do not waste any more taxpayer money. I watched the consolidation presentation to hear the study was not scientific, regional high schools are not legal and if they were, the bus ride would be very long and one regional high school would be over 1,600 students. Thousands of dollars were spent to tell us that! We could tell you that for free. Some say this was BOCES-aided. Where do you think this money comes from? Our taxes! The recommendation was do more studies because the information wasn’t available because it was “beyond the scope of the study.” This money would have been better used in local schools rather than to build BOCES, an expensive overstaffed empire. Boards, “just say no” to more studies and put our money in our community schools. We don’t want long bus rides or bigger schools. We like our small towns. That’s why we live here.
