I am writing on behalf of the 750 people who receive services through St. Lawrence County NYSARC. Help is needed to reverse state government actions that will lead to the closure of work centers and the elimination of funding for development of appropriate residential options for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. It is critical that our representatives hear from the public. Representatives we appointed to office should know the significant impact these policies will have on the lives of people in our county. The lives of the people ARC serves along with their family and friends will be affected radically. Jobs will be lost. The work ARC does is vital to all of us. If you are handed a petition on behalf of ARC, please sign it. Better yet, write your senator or legislative representative.
