Thanksgiving, the start of Christmas shopping. I need to once again make my now annual journey to a state with no sales tax…like New Hampshire and Delware…to do my shopping and visit some family. I do not blame the local vendors for the sales tax. I do however blame our county politicians for raising our sales tax. I do not support this and have chosen to protest. Instead of raising the sales tax, they should have cut the budget, cut postions, and cut salaries of county employees. I am encouraging all my friends and family to do similar. If enough people participate, maybe the county will get the point.
