It is time the River Road speed limit be addressed. I'm talking specifically between Hewittville and the caution light where it intersects Ridge Street in Norwood. Since the changes of State Highway 56 speed limit the River Road has become a popular highway with commuters. Many people walk this road or ride their bicycle in the morning and evenings. This concerns not only the residents of this road but also the people that fish the side of the road and the participants of the bicycle races and triathlons. For the commuters this is 2.5 miles lowered 20 mph adding 94 seconds to your drive; but please use the highway. This was never an issue but within the past five years and its just getting ridiculous. Solution: lower the speed limit on the river road, or raise it back up on State Highway 56.
