It is criminal the way the Power Authority virtually controls every aspect of the river, in Massena. You can’t swim, run a dog, or launch a boat without a problem. There are very few places to even do those normal citizen activities. I know, we have to protect our border! The Border Patrol has to get in on it. The taxpayers come last. No one owns the river, our forefathers are turning in their graves. Freedom here…for who? Citizens are kicked off and denied entry unless it’s with law enforcement permission. You leave the average Joe with no choice except to buy a piece of land if they’re fortunate, to use the God given outdoors in peace. The taxpayers of Massena deserve a much better deal, with regards to river access, public land.
