I am very proud of our North Country students in Potsdam and the town’s administration for finally bringing some attention to human rights with their recent Gay Pride Parade. I realize that some people are taught by their religions that homosexuality is a sin. People have a right to their beliefs and a right to practice their religion as they wish. However, this is not about religion, this is about equality and the rights of every American to be who they are, to believe what they want, to live their own lives as they choose.
