There will be no justice in St. Lawrence County until Mary Rain is out of office. She is too egocentric to do the right thing and resign, so we will suffer until the Governor, the Ethics Committee, the FBI, or the Attorney General get off their butts and do something. We have had problems with how DA’s did their jobs before, but nothing in my memory has been this bad. Waiting until her term is over is just not an option. Around the State St. Lawrence is a laughing stock. While the county is allowing her to fill vacant assistant positions, what attorney will come here knowing that their career will forever be tainted? Whoever may decide to come work for her, we know that they will likely be inexperienced and don’t know how to use Google.
