All of us tax paying citizens should insist that there be a vote on whether or not we want our tax cap overridden, and next time our legislators have a public meeting they should make it a little later in the evening so most working people can get there. St. Lawrence County is a large county and it’s hard to get to a 5 o’clock meeting--7 o’clock would be better, but no matter, put this tax cap to a public vote and get a real feel for the way people are thinking.
