In regard to “Rude Shopper at Walmart” (June 19 to June 21): My husband and I often use the check out in the garden section. It’s generally fast and efficient, unlike the other checkouts in the store and we usually just buy pet food but have on occasion bought other items. There is no sign stating that the checkout is for lawn and garden items only. There is no reason for this behavior from anyone, whether young or old, and the older generation should know better. Shame on him. I’m an older person myself and was brought up with manners. If someone kept hitting my leg with the cart, I would have given it a good push back with a big “excuse me.”
