Recently, I was enjoying my breakfast at a local restaurant when I overheard two old men discussing politics. Now, I know that this country has become very partisan, but I became ill listening to these two. Speaking about President Obama: “He needs to be hung. He needs to have his neck stretched. Killing is too good for him.” I just don’t understand the vitriolic, racist hatred. Actually discussing lynching the President of the United States. I wish I had had the courage to say something to their faces, though I doubt it would have done any good. Instead, I just left.
