In response to the front page story “Housing Authority Restricts Tobacco, Angering Smokers,’ in the July 29-Aug. 4 issue of North Country This Week: you're living in taxpayer-subsidized housing. Did you ever think that the money you wasted on smoking, and the health problems it brought, are the reason we have to pay your rent? I don't mind helping those who are disabled or poor through no fault of their own, but not if you brought it on yourself.
