There has been lots of talk about our toilet man in the last few weeks. I personally feel this protest is unwarranted and the village needs to get these tasteless eyesores removed. Some people are under the impression that the village spitefully denied toilet man his variance; that is not the case. Please take a moment to read this article from 2010. The zoning for that area of Market Street was changed back in 1994 to a B-2 zone, and if the above linked article is correct, the toilet man bought that property after 1994. As for rezoning, common sense prevailed. You cannot have two gas/convenient stores across the street from each other, two major North Country highways all converging into one intersection and then want to add another high traffic business to the already congested area. We have had enough of the toilet man and his art. Look up the other properties this man has owned and they to must have been art in his mind. Either our elected officials need to fix this or we need to elect some that can.
