In response to the Letter to the Editor “Put Me in Charge of Welfare” which appeared in North Country This Week’s April 2-8 issue: I receive SNAP and Medicaid benefits and you know what? I have a full time manager position that I've held for five years. I make $11.50 an hour. I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. So you still want to take benefits from me and my family? It's not everybody that they should be taken from.
