In response to “Breastfeeding in Church,” which appeared in the Aug. 30 - Sept. 5 issue of North Country This Week: To you women who chose to breastfeed, good for you. So you choose to whip it out in public, again good for you. There is this thing called a breast pump, so you can use a bottle in public. Seems you feel the need to make it known that you use breast milk — maybe you could wear a sign saying it. I had three children I didn't breastfeed them and they are just as healthy as those who were. So stop trying to degrade those of us who didn't. And don't say you're not because the statement of "nourishing my baby the best way possible" keeps being said. There are other very healthy choices. So here is this fact, people sometimes need to pick their nose, would you rather them do it privately or publicly?
