It seems that the Ogdensburg bishop was looking for everyone who was abused by a priest to come together and pray. He states it would help heal. I had this talk many years ago with my priest and posed this very question to him: Where were those same priests that did all those very bad things to me? I wanted justice. He told me that their penance was going to very poor, rural counties to help build churches and pray. I told him it was to evade justice and left. The Catholic churches should pay out every penny until they bleed. Praying will never heal the scars from being raped by a priest after church school!
