In response to the “The High Cost of Life Flights” stories which ran in the Aug. 2-8 issue of North Country This Week: We now have another life-saving service in the North Country. Air Methods can give life-saving support with an air service ride to major hospitals outside our rural area. This service might mean the difference of life or death for the patient. I guess when it comes to a “life or death” situation, Air Method is a hero, no questions asked. Once it appears that it is “just life”, the recovered patient seems to question the cost of life. I hope everyone will request in writing what they want doctors and hospitals to do before they need this air service in saving their life. Once again people do not want to take responsibility for their actions. I am sure that a doctor, hospital or Air Method will be sued in the near future when someone dies but was not offered an air service ride to the nearest hospital. What is your price for life?
