CANTON -- The St. Lawrence University Department of Athletics will hold several sports events during the 3rd annual ‘Power of Pink Week’ Oct. 15 to 20.
“Saints Supporting A Cure” T-shirts will be sold at the Sullivan Student Center Monday, Oct. 15 to Thursday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A medical panel by the Winter Cancer Center will be held Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. in 336 Student Center Hannon room.
Several sports events will be held as well, including a volleyball game against Skidmore at 5 p.m. and a volleyball game against Union at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. A soccer game against RIT and a football game against Springfield, both at 1 p.m. on Oct. 20, will also be featured.
All proceeds will benefit the Gouverneur Business Women, an organization that assists families who are battling against breast cancer.
The event has raised $13,500 over the past two years.
