In regards to “What Happened to St. Lawrence River Access?” (posted June 30): What's wrong with the Power Authority? I totally support that Sound Off's opinion. Yes, the places we used to be able to pitch a tent, gather, swim etc are all off limits. We can pay one of the highest property taxes, and for what? The beauty and the draw of the North Country is its spots, which the power authority or New York State have taken over. Remember the dike before the boulders were put there? How about the dead end road? How about the land reaching into the river out by the beach? Other places the person mentioned do allow their residents free access. Not Massena.
