Enough with the toilet planters already. Holy cow. I don’t know the whole story behind this but it’s time for the person/persons responsible for this to grow up and move on. I have always been a firm believer in being able to do what you choose with your own property but I have changed my mind. It shouldn’t be legal to destroy the image of an entire town because of a temper tantrum that has been going on for years. Potsdam appears dirty and unkempt. If the person responsible for this can’t be legally forced to removed those hideous eyesores, they should be shunned in civilized society and condemned by neighbors and strangers alike. No one should have the power to completely destroy the image of an entire town so they can make a statement. I feel sorry for the citizens of Potsdam who have to look at this on a daily basis. I’d be so embarrassed to know that people are driving in from out of town to check out the colleges and they are greeted by crooked toilet bowls that are spewed around properties throughout Potsdam, giving the appearance of it being a “popular and clever decorating idea” by the locals. Oy, I’d be so ashamed. It is no longer a quaint and attractive little town. It’s an eyesore.
