Just read the article that the employees of the highway department had time on their hands to do other repairs due to the mild winter (up to last week). Well I would like to say the village of Canton DPW really should take a drive up State Street, or maybe you should walk because then you could look inside those craters in front of the school for lost cars. I travel this route everyday and it gets worse every year. Last spring they “filled” in a few potholes but guess what “they’re back.” Just saying that I don’t want to fall into one, my car would be lost forever, but while trying to watch for the holes to try and avoid and watch for kids (sports team) running after hours you almost need to have someone ride shotgun. Oh and its not just in front of the school, it goes all the way down to Riverside Drive. I sure hope they fix it before the construction on Main Street starts if they plan on using this for an alternate route.
