Poor service at VA Clinic

I went to the new VA clinic in Massena and had numerous issues. After fighting from April until mid-July to get an annual appointment, I was told I couldn’t come for 6:30 a.m. appointment like previous years and the earliest is 8:30 a.m. for blood work. I had to take half day off for blood work! When I went in there was four receptionists with no line and one was helping someone. So I walked up to one of employees and they advised me all three couldn't help me. The only one who could was busy doing blood work! I though why are your windows not labeled as such and why do you need three people sitting there doing nothing? When I went to get my blood drawn the nurse couldn’t find my vein...mind you I have never had nurses, medics, nor lab tech have issues finding my veins. The nurse finally settled on the vein and as she is drawing blood she pushed the needle further into my arm after each vial then pulls back out to fill the vial again. I’ve never had anyone do that. Needless to say my arm was sore for a week and black and blue for longer. She then sends me for a urine sample which I have to walk into another room between the person drawing blood and another patient to get to the bathroom, with the same return trip back through. I went back the following week for my doctor appointment at 3:30 p.m. After being checked in and vitals completed I was left in the room waiting for the doctor for an hour then moved to a different room. I finally saw the doctor at 5:30 p.m. and the first thing the doctor says is "you need to lose weight." Mind you, she barely speaks English. Then she introduces herself after going over my charts she tells me to start taking my current meds in the morning and night and that she was going to add more pills. When I ask why, she said to make you lose weigh. I told her I am not a fan of pills. She said to will wait six months and if I don't loose weight by then that she will start adding pills for me to take. When I was done I found out I was locked in the clinic as the place automatically locks down at 4:30 p.m. and did not leave until 5:45 p.m. for a 3:30 p.m. appointment. A week later my refill shows up with directions for only one time a week. I called the clinic and the nurse told me the doctors’ notes only say to continue one time per day. The nurse seemed bothered by my question or frustrated by having to answer the question. Instead of providing medical care the new clinic has accepted a policy to threaten, intimidate and treat veterans as second class citizens? This VA clinic better wake up and realize who you are treating this way your pa
