Hey SUNY, go fix something that’s broken and leave Canton alone. Go fix colleges with problems. By all reports, SUNY Canton’s president is doing a great job and the college is thriving. Seems to me there is too much being spent on administrative stupidity in Albany. They assert Canton is spending too much on administrative costs, yet they don’t show us those numbers. Instead they throw out a stat that Canton is not spending enough on faculty. It’s political balderdash and deceptive. Why don’t the SUNY number twisters show the administrative costs per student or costs per credit hour for every campus? Probably because they never looked at those numbers before launching their ill conceived idea of sharing presidents. And probably because those numbers would show Canton outperforming too many other SUNY colleges, particularly Canton’s bloated sister down the road.
