At the recent 4th of July parade in Norwood, my husband and I rode the American Legion Post 68 float and handed out candy and freeze pops to the children along the parade route. I was impressed with the number of children (and adults) who said thank you. It warmed my heart to know that parents have taught their children to be respectful and polite.
