It’s amazing that the county’s finance chair is now the big proponent of these proposed raises. For the 2013 budget he was squeezing each of the department’s budgets including an extra $500 out of the DA’s. Now he wants to increase the pay for all the ADA’s to the tune of $48K for this year which will be more next year. Then he is quoted in the Watertown Daily Times that the fund balance will not increase and how uncertain he is about being able to stay under the 2 percent tax cap. Is he talking out of both sides of his mouth?
