On Feb. 16, 2013, a jamboree was held at the Pierrepont Fire Hall to benefit Sally Long who is undergoing treatment for lung cancer. The community came together to show their support and a tremendous number of people attended the event as well as an exceptional amount of donations. A grand total of $12,700 was raised that day to assist with travel and medical expenses. Sally continues to do well with her treatment and is extremely grateful to all who showed their support in one way or another. She and her family would like to thank every individual who helped by donating money, food, gifts and/or their time as well as the businesses that contributed.
