In response to the photo with the front page story ''Gaming Pioneers Coming to Potsdam'' in the Sept. 30 through Oct. 4 issue of North Country This Week: is it really necessary to have a picture of someone holding a gun to advertise a presentation about the video game industry? The picture promotes gun culture and violence. It is even reminiscent of media images showing terrorists and shooters posing with their guns. A picture without a gun would have been just fine.
