I agree with prior sounds offs on the Clarkson Pep Band. I’m a loyal Clarkson hockey fan and think the band brings a lot to the event. However, their recent appearance in Lake Placid reinforces the fact that they are out of control. Their periodic degrading chants are unnecessarily filled with vulgarities and sexual innuendos that are not appropriate for what should be a family atmosphere. The students can be very clever when they want to be. They just need to channel their energy in a more appropriate way. Lastly, I don’t understand why President Collins doesn’t take care of the situation. Don’t let them play the “free speech” card. They’re over the top.
