For Massena’s school board to ask for a 1.8% tax levy after the state cut several million dollars in aid is a crime against the students and athletes. This levy translates to less than $2.50/month for most taxpayers or 8 to 10 cents a day. Most can easily afford five times that amount (cup of coffee/day).
