Over ticketing to pay for invasion of our privacy

Have the budget cuts caused the multitude of police agencies to fund their organizations by ticketing people for every minor violation of “the law” and then the state sucking a surcharge out of everyone? It seems that everywhere I go, I see a cop pulling someone over for something, lately in particular. It seems that we can afford all kinds of police vehicles equipped cameras, cameras on street lights, and probably drones overhead, monitoring our every move, looking for some reason to invade our privacy in our “free country.” So many young peoples’ lives are trashed by marks on their record from this constant oversight of people’s lives. Where is the free country we once knew? What will it take before people stand up and say “enough?”
