While the cost of electrical transport/transmission is controlled by National Grid, the cost of power is not. However, if you’re in our shoes and use as little electricity as possible, your “extras” that have nothing to do with anything sensible, really, are more than the charge for power! Scrutinize your bill’s charges carefully; you’ll be disgusted, or most will at least. The power load this winter was nowhere near equivalent to the regular summer bills; so why does this winter get a price increase when summers don’t? By the way, beware of the “alternative” suppliers out there. We have tried two of them; and for each year we had them, saved a grand total of about ten dollars per year!
