This past weekend, I was sitting at a green light for 15 minutes because some wannabe Harley guy had the intersection blocked. He was blocking it because of some big ride for a charity. Well that’s fine that these so called “bikers” do this sort of thing. However all traffic laws regardless should be obeyed. I would not be allowed to block traffic if my friends and I decided to use the guise of a “run.” To top things off, New York is about broke and they are being escorted by New York State Troopers. I find it insulting that the tax payers should see their money spent such as this. The troopers serve a better function than to escort 200 Harleys thru downtown Potsdam. I say the riders should be made to pay the salary for the escort.
