In response to the criticism of deplorable properties in Pyrites, not all property owners are to blame. I am a resident in the hamlet and also am upset concerning the wretched conditions of some yards and homes. I am more offended that the previous people that complained in Sound Off included the entire hamlet. If you bothered to look, there are quite a few properties on Churchill Street that are maintained and owners take pride in them. Please don't blame an entire hamlet because some residents choose to live in squalor. There are some of us that do our best to keep our properties maintained and shouldn't be considered part of the problem. I am sure the people that maintain their homes and properties agree we are not to blame.
