In response to “Following Conscience” (Nov. 2-8), I never said a peanut butter cup would “nourish” a kid; I said they would “enjoy” one. I was reminding people to not forget about kids in our county/country. Then I added a little sarcastic humor. I’m not so ignorant to think a peanut butter cup would decrease hunger. I’m glad you donate to kids in Africa, I’m all about it. I was simply stating that Halloween brings joy around here and if people have the money to give kids candy around here then please do so. If you don’t then that is okay too. Thanks for donating to any cause.
