I think it’s great that the St. Lawrence Central teachers are willing to give and help in their health insurance costs. I think it would be even better if superintendent Steve Putman would give back his raise. How can someone who is already overpaid accept a raise when our economy is as bad as it is now. Anyone earning over $100,000 a year certainly does not need a raise. I’m sure most of the taxpayers in this school district would like to earn that much. There will be taxpayers in this district that will have to decide do I eat or do I pay taxes.
