So, according to a recent article in the Watertown Times, all we have to do is give the Roof-top Highway crowd six-million-plus dollars and they will tell us where the dreamed-of interstate highway will go. I suppose that after that we will only need to come up with an additional ten or fifteen billion dollars to make their dreams come true. Meanwhile, we will be forever stuck with failing bridges, crumbling highways, failing water and sewer systems and a complete 170-mile long bypass of North Country economy. For the next 30 or 40 years, we will be spending every available dime trying to build the highway of dreams. What a deal.
