In response to the Letter to the Editor “Drivers Need to Watch Out for Amish Buggies” which appeared in the June 18-24 edition of North Country This Week: Amen to a good, sensible, logical and thinking person! I fully agree with you. I disagree with never letting the perpetrators drive again, but a few weeks in jail and reimbursement to the victim are definitely warranted. There is no excuse for hitting a buggy/horse, Amish or not, at anytime.
