Some people view Hank Robar's toilet art as amusing and his right. I'm for artistic expression as long as it is not harming other individuals. Mr. Robar's neighbors have suffered a financial loss through no fault of their own, due to a drop in value of their homes. If those same people were harmed by a natural disaster, I'm guessing that the same good, liberal people who laugh might throw them a fundraiser. These immediate neighbors' loss is just less tangible, but very real. I don't love all the art, some can even be offensive, but it is housed in an appropriate venue to view or not. I maintain that Mr. Robar's art is not just tacky, which is his right to display, but offensive. Spaghetti dinner, anyone?
