I find it interesting that the Canton Central Superintendent Bill Gregory thinks it may be time to close the school. Isn’t losing 25 jobs from the district enough for him? Now he wants to lay off the entire staff by closing the school. That’s helpful. Homeowners, you want your property value t drop instantly, that should do it. Maybe it’s time for the board of education to find another superintendent who is up to the challenge. We need a leader that will fight for the students, employees and the community. Doom and gloom accomplishes nothing productive. It’s time to get creative. By the way, Mr. Gregory, you do not have the power to close the school. NYS Department of Education has a little something to do with that.
